Russia’s leading media outlets widely covered the statement made by Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, regarding Armenia’s gross violation of the ceasefire with Azerbaijan.
Such news agencies as TASS, RIA Novosti, RBC, as well as other leading news portals, referred to Hajiyev’s statements.
According to the media outlets, the Azerbaijani presidential aide said the Armenian armed forces, in a blatant violation of the ceasefire, intensively shelled the Azerbaijani Army’s positions along the frontline line, killing and injuring civilians and military personnel.
“Azerbaijan has issued repeated warnings to the international community that Armenia is preparing for a new act of aggression and war. The responsibility for the present situation and future developments lie squarely with Armenia's political-military leadership,” the media outlets cited Hajiyev as saying.
