Press Secretary of the Ministry of Defense: The Azerbaijani Army is dealing heavy blows to the enemy
As a result of the counteroffensive of the Azerbaijani army, armored vehicles and additional means of supporting the enemy were destroyed, said the spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant Colonel Anar Eyvazov at today's briefing.
He noted that the enemy command is aware of the inevitability of defeat, but it seems that they want to destroy as many citizens as possible.
A. Eyvazov said that the Azerbaijani army retains superiority in all directions of the front: " There are no problems with blood supply in our army. Biased information disseminated in this regard on social media is inappropriate. The population should not overload the Ministry of Defense's hotline in this regard."
A. Eyvazov noted that Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov gave relevant instructions to our army at today's working meeting: "The Minister of Defense noted that if the enemy uses Iskander tactical missile systems, adequate measures will be taken. The minister ordered to plan powerful strikes against the enemy's military-strategic infrastructure, using high-precision weapons of great destructive power from the arsenal of the Azerbaijani army. For several days, the enemy, driven back along the entire front, has been shelling our cities from the territory of Jermuk, Gafan and Berd regions. This forces the Azerbaijani army to take retaliatory steps. The leadership of Armenia is directing the population in the wrong direction. Although the enemy command is aware of the inevitability of defeat, it seems to want even more victims among its population."
The press secretary noted that Azerbaijan appealed to the Armenian population in connection with the opening of humanitarian corridors: "The appeal was extended to the enemy's military personnel willing to surrender voluntarily. The Azerbaijani army operates in the occupied territories in accordance with the norms of international law. Our military personnel comply with the rules for providing assistance to persons not participating in the conflict. Unlike Armenia, the Azerbaijani army is only targeting the legitimate military targets of the Armenian army. The Azerbaijani army fully adheres to the principles of the memorandum on the norms of international law."
The Armenians being pushed back along the front line have settled on the territory of Armenia and are shelling settlements of Azerbaijan, Spokesman for the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry Anar Eyvazov said.
He noted that Armenians strike at civilians in Ganja, Mingachevir, Beylagan, Horadiz, Goranboy, Goygel, Yevlakh, Barda and other cities of Azerbaijan.
"The shelling of civilians and settlements is carried out mainly from the Chermuk, Gafan districts of Armenia. Thus, the Armenian side continues to commit war crimes, grossly violating the norms of international law. Such crimes of the Armenian side are forcing Azerbaijan to take adequate measures," he added.
The counter-offensive operation of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces continues successfully, Anar Eyvazov said.
He said that three tanks of the 63rd armored battalion, four "Grad" MLRS and the manpower of the Armenian armed forces were destroyed in various directions of the front.
"Armenian armed forces' ammunition depot was destroyed along with personnel in Ballidzha. Ammunition from a warehouse on the territory of Jabrayil district was seized as trophies," he said.
