Armenian shelling in Goranboy leaves civilians shell-shocked and bitter (Azərtac)
The Armenian army continues to fire artillery at residential areas of the Goranboy district. A shell fired by Armenian armed forces hit Seymour Mustafayev's house in Yenikend village of the district.
Sabuhi Mustafayev, the brother of the owner of the house, said that the incident happened in the morning. The house and all the household items have become seriously damaged: "Fortunately, my brother, who was at home, was in the yard. The Armenians are targeting the village and the civilians. Some of the rockets that were fired did not explode. The enemy’s idea is to scare the village residents. But nobody leaves the village. Everyone lives in their home as they are not afraid of the enemy".
Akbar Abdullayev, a resident of the village, said that no one left his house in the village: "We are not afraid of the shells fired by the enemy. I fought in these areas for five years. I am currently in my native village. The cannon fired by the Armenians hit my relative's house. No one was home at that time. The Armenian army continues to shell the village. But despite this, we are not leaving our village, we trust the Azerbaijani Army."
Saying that the Armenians only fired at civilians, Abdullayev noted that the enemy was targeting residents because they were afraid of fighting with Azerbaijani soldiers: "Our army's fighting spirit is high. They give a worthy answer to the enemy. We are proud of the Azerbaijani soldier," he emphasized.
