Maharram Aliyev: War crimes committed by Armenia are testimony to its weakness and obvious defeat
Thanks to the determination, right policy, decisiveness and strategic governance of Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Army engraves a chronicle of victory in world history, Maharram Aliyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Military Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, said in his article.
The article is titled “All war crimes committed by the enemy are a manifestation and proof of weakness and obvious defeat.”
“The whole world is already aware of the invincibility, achievements strength of our army, and witnessing that the Azerbaijani state, adhering to the norms and principles of international law even in war conditions, is conducting successful military operations to liberate its historical lands from the occupation and is doing practical work to restore peace and justice in the region. Azerbaijan’s achievement of sustainable development in all areas is the key to successful military operations and our victory. We can courageously say that the victorious Azerbaijani Army has the determination and strength to be the guarantor of peace and justice in the region,” the author notes.
The official stresses that targeting the civilian population of Azerbaijan with internationally prohibited missiles was part of the hypocritical plans of the Armenian leadership.
“Despite all this, the people of Azerbaijan, overcoming treacherous attacks and trusting their Supreme Commander-in-Chief and their army, are upsetting the enemy’s plans. Under the leadership of the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the Azerbaijani Army is giving a worthy response to the enemy,” he says.
The presidential aide notes that despite repeated warnings from the Azerbaijani side, Armenia continues shelling the civilian population and committing war crimes.
“In addition to showing our strength on the battlefield, we also demonstrate our respect for humanitarian and human values,” he adds.
The author also cites the remarks voiced by President Ilham Aliyev during his interview with the Russian RBC TV channel: “The myth about the so-called victorious Armenian army has collapsed. It never existed. Those who know the history of the conflict are well aware that our lands were occupied also by the 366th motorized rifle regiment of the Soviet army, which was stationed in Khankandi and I think 70 percent of its servicemen were of Armenian origin. So it was Soviet weaponry and Soviet command with an Armenian composition, and they took an active part in both ethnic cleansing and genocide.”
He continues: “Our people are awaiting a complete victory of the Azerbaijani Army with great hope and confidence. The good news coming from the front every day gives us confidence that the Victory Day is near. The Victory is ours thanks to the strength of the Azerbaijani Army and the solidarity of our people united around the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief! Karabakh is Azerbaijan!”
