Speaker of Milli Majlis: Parliament has addressed letters to partners in more than 80 countries since beginning of Armenia's military aggression
Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova gave an interview to the Turkish newspaper Milliyet.
According to the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis, in an interview, Sahiba Gafarova said that from the first moments of the next military aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan on September 27, both Turkish officials and the people openly and directly supported Azerbaijan. Gafarova thanked the Republic of Turkey, the Turkish Grand National Assembly and members of parliament for this support, both on her own behalf and on behalf of the deputies of the Milli Majlis.
Sahiba Gafarova stressed that since the beginning of the next military aggression by Armenia, the head and members of the Azerbaijani parliament have sent letters to partners in more than 80 countries with which Milli Majlis actively cooperates.
Recalling that Armenia has committed war crimes against civilians, Speaker Gafarova said that Azerbaijan has been suffering from Armenian terror for 30 years. Terror did not start only with aggression against Ganja, but from the day when the people from Karabakh was expelled by Armenians.
She also emphasized that Armenia has made territorial claims not only against Azerbaijan, but also against three of the four neighboring countries. Some forces are using Armenia against independent countries such as Turkey and Azerbaijan. Armenia serves these forces as a servant.
Sahiba Gafarova noted that currently there are serious problems in ensuring international law in the world and double standards prevail in international law. While some UN Security Council resolutions are implemented within two hours, resolutions regarding Azerbaijan have not been implemented for nearly 30 years. According to the Speaker of the Milli Majlis, four resolutions adopted by the UN Security Council in 1993 demand immediate, complete and unconditional withdrawal of Armenians from the Azerbaijani lands. However, these resolutions have not been implemented for almost 30 years.
