Attacks from territory of Armenia against Azerbaijan are another act of military aggression – presidential aide
Attacks from the territory of Armenia against Azerbaijan along bordering Zangilan, Gubadli and Lachin districts are another act of military aggression, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev told journalists.
The presidential aide noted that such attacks are the continuation of ballistic missile attacks on Azerbaijan’s Ganja, Mingachevir, Kurdamir, Siyazan, Gabala, Khizi and other cities, as well as civilians and civilian facilities.
He recalled that Armenia’s attacks in the direction of Azerbaijan’s Tovuz district along the state border on July 12 this year were also assessed as an act of aggression.
“Such attacks, the presence of Armenian armed forces in the occupied Azerbaijani territories and the use of force against Azerbaijan once again demonstrate that Armenia is openly waging war against Azerbaijan. Such military adventures of Armenia are aimed at committing a political provocation and expanding the scale of the conflict. With all this, Armenia grossly violates its obligations to use force against other countries and refrain from threatening to use force within the framework of the political-military organization of which it is a member,” Hajiyev said.
“As stated by Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has no military targets on the territory of Armenia,” he added.
