Hikmat Hajiyev: Armenia on one hand pleas for truce, on the other hand dishonorably commits an act of terrorism against the civilians
Armenia on the one hand pleas for truce, on the other hand dishonorably commits an act of terrorism against the civilians, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev told a briefing in Ganja.
The presidential aide described this step of Armenians as an act of terrorism.
“They resort to such dishonorable acts to compensate for their failures on the battlefield,” he said.
The presidential aide noted that the collected materials will be brought to the attention of relevant international organizations through both the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Hajiyev called on the international community to strongly condemn this atrocity and this act of vandalism
“We call on the international community to respond adequately to these events,” he added.
The presidential aide said that Armenia, by targeting the civilian population of Azerbaijan, aims to cause panic among them, but the enemy will fail.
Hajiyev stressed that Armenia's actions pose a serious threat to peace in the region.
“Azerbaijan is fighting within its sovereign territory, and Armenia is shelling Azerbaijani cities from its territory. Armenia is also targeting energy infrastructure, which poses a threat not only to Azerbaijan but also to other countries,” Hajiyev concluded.
