OBA Store Chain Stands with Our Army and People in our Fight for Justice
OBA store chain continues to show moral and financial support to our country and people in our challenging, yet honourable period of our history. Veyseloglu Group of Companies, parent company of OBA store chain, has transferred 1 million AZN to the Armed Forces Relief Fund to support our army, currently fighting bravely for the liberation of Azerbaijani lands.
Employees at OBA chain immediately responded to the mobilization call for military personnel in reserve. Hundreds of employees of the company are currently defending the Motherland in the army ranks. OBA chain continues to pay the salaries of its serving employees, as stipulated by law, and regularly meets with their families to show them all available support.
Moreover, OBA stores have also launched a campaign to raise funds for our soldiers at the frontline. The funds were allocated to purchase underwear, socks, gloves, hats, medical supplies, various cigarettes and such. The company employees, including the management, personally delivered the supplies to the ‘N’ military unit at the borderline. The fundraising campaign to support our soldiers is currently ongoing.
Guided by the instructions of the President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence on confidentiality of information in wartime, OBA chain of stores does not disclose any data on soldiers and martyred employees, but continues to support them by all means and to meet with their families.
As the Armenian armed forces attacked Jojug Marjanli village on 11 October 2020, one of the enemy strikes hit the OBA market in the village. Although the store itself was rendered completely useless, fortunately there were no casualties as the market did not operate temporarily. The OBA Public Relations department reported that the store chain cannot wait to see all our territories liberated and open new OBA markets in all the recovered lands, including Jojug Marjanli.
