Azerbaijani FM informs Philip T. Reeker of Armenia’s violating humanitarian ceasefire
On October 16, 2020 Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with the U.S. Acting Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip T. Reeker.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed his interlocutor on the latest escalation in the region, including the violation of the humanitarian ceasefire by the armed forces of Armenia. Armenia’s deliberate targeting of peaceful population and civilian infrastructures, towns and districts situated far from the frontline, rocket shelling of the second biggest city of Azerbaijan, Ganja city and its’ serious civilian casualties were brought to the attention of the Acting Assistant Secretary of State.
The U.S. Acting Assistant Secretary Philip Reeker stressed the importance of respecting humanitarian ceasefire and restoring political dialogue.
