Azerbaijani Foreign Minister holds briefing
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov held a briefing for the heads of the diplomatic corps in the country.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed that Armenia had been shelling Azerbaijani settlements and civilians in gross violation of the Moscow ceasefire agreement since October 10. He stressed that Ganja, the second largest city in Azerbaijan, located far from the line of contact, after the humanitarian ceasefire was ensured, came under missile attack by the Armenian armed forces, killing nine civilians and injuring 35 people, including minors.
The Minister stressed that Armenia's deliberate firing on civilians, homes, civilian sites and medical personnel as part of its aggressive policy against Azerbaijan once again violates the fundamental norms of international law, including international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions.
Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov called on the world community and states to take decisive steps to force the occupying Armenia to comply with its international obligations.
