A Support Campaign for Azerbaijan in Italy
The State Committee for Work with Diaspora reports that the Azerbaijani Italian Youth Association organized a support campaign in Milan, Italy, to protest the occupant policy pursued by Armenia and support the independent state of Azerbaijan. The event was attended by Azerbaijani students in Italy, who waved Azerbaijani flags and signs depicting calls such as ‘Karabakh is Azerbaijan!’, “Don’t believe Armenia’, ‘Stop Armenian aggression!’, and ‘Pray for Ganja’.
Mais Nuriyev, head of the Azerbaijan Culture Association, spoke of the 27 September attack by Armenia on our country, noting that the Azerbaijani Army is exercising its rights to self-defence and territorial integrity. Our compatriot highlighted the atrocities and acts of vandalism committed by the fascist state against our people and called Armenia’s deliberate and treacherous rocket attack on Ganja a merciless act of terrorism.
The participants of the event called on the international community to support Azerbaijan’s righteous and fair stance on the liberation of our lands from occupation and the recovery of our territorial integrity.
Farid Abbasov, head of the Azerbaijani Italian Youth Association, and Maryam Mehdiyeva, our compatriot living in Rome, also attended the ‘Roma Capitale’ radio station to convey the truths of Azerbaijan to the local population. They noted that Armenia has started military provocations against our country and has been opening rocket fire at the civilian population since 27 September.
