Supporting the army
Farmers from Masalli Send over 800 Kilograms of Strawberries to the Solders at the Frontline
Our people do not spare their support for our brave Army, who is making true history these days. Everyone is trying to volunteer with everything in their power to show both moral and material support for the Azerbaijani soldiers. Farmers in Masalli have also volunteered to help. Rafet Abbasov from Sharafa village has collected over a ton of produce from his strawberry fields and sent it to the frontline.
One of the prominent members of the Farmers’ Council under the Ministry of Agriculture, Rafet Abbasov planted strawberries on over 3 hectares of land, yielding over 35 tons of produce. Although collection usually ends in September, it will go on until October this time. He is sending the strawberries to the frontline to treat our soldiers.
‘We’ve had abundant harvest this year. I’ve decided to send some of the strawberries I’ve grown to the frontline. Young volunteers are also giving us a hand. We’ve all closely united around our Supreme Commander-in-Chief and our soldiers on this difficult day for our Motherland. They must rest assured that the Masalli farmers also stand by them’ Rafet Abbasov says.
The young people of Masalli have also volunteered to help the farmers to collect the strawberries. Asra Yusifli, one of such volunteers, shares:
‘The volunteers have come to help the farmers. We are all in an excellent mood. Our people are kind and always stand by our state and army. May God always help them! We are waiting hopefully and joyously for the full recovery of Nagorno-Karabakh.’
Gasim Mammadov, a driver who has numerously volunteered to transport food to the battlefield, will leave for the frontline again, this time from Masalli.
‘I have driven to Masalli on my own car. I am volunteering. I heard that brother Rafet is willing to help the soldiers, so I’ve come to support him. We are doing all this for our brave soldiers, who are bestowing new victories upon us every day. I am proud to be a driver to the frontline. We must all come together to support our army and state’ the driver from Beylagan says.
They collected and packaged over 800 kilograms of strawberries early in the morning and sent them to treat our soldiers, serving on the frontline.
