Turkish Businesspeople Come Together to Support Azerbaijan
The business associations operating in Türkiye have strongly condemned the large-scale attack by the occupying Armenian army against Azerbaijan.
Mikayil Yusifov, deputy head of the Azerbaijani Businessmen Union in Türkiye (TAIB), Selchuk Akat, chairman of Azerbaijan Business Council at Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK), Abdurrahman Uzun, Head of Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (MUSIAD) representative office in Azerbaijan, Tolga Tunch, spokesperson for the head of Foreign Relations Office at TUMSIAD Industrial and Businessmen Association, Serdar Kurt, chairman of the Azerbaijani Economic and Trade Council at ETD Economy and Trade Association, Mehmet Bilici, deputy head and chairman of foreign relations committee at ASKON Anatolian Lions Businessmen Association, and Osman Buyukkaya, head of the World Turkic Council, all signed a statement, declaring their support for Azerbaijan with all their strength and capabilities in the country’s efforts to protect its people and Motherland, while exercising its right of self-defence as per international law:
‘Armenia has kept Azerbaijan’s Nagorno-Karabakh and adjacent regions under occupation for many years. Armenia is on the false path. We emphasize the importance of Armenia unconditionally withdrawing from these lands, the eternal homeland of Azerbaijan, to prevent humanitarian tragedies in the region.’
