Compatriots in Belarus Demonstrate Support for Azerbaijan
Congress of Azerbaijani Communities, our compatriots living and students studying in Belarus convened at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Belarus on the military aggression by the Armenian armed forces against Azerbaijan.
Ambassador Latif Gandilov said the meeting was held at the request of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Belarus and invited the participants to voice their specific proposals and opinions.
Natig Baghirov, head of the Congress of Azerbaijani Communities, expressed the support for our Armed Forces and their joy at the liberation of our lands on behalf of the entire Congress and thanked President Ilham Aliyev for this. He delivered the readiness of all Azerbaijanis in Belarus to provide all the help they can to our Armed Forces. Several of them have expressed their wish to donate to the Armed Forces Relief Fund and voluntarily enroll in the army.
The speakers at the event included Darya Huseynova, Vusal Garayev, Jamil Abbasov, Olesya Kasokina, Asaf Yusifov, Roman Lukasayev, and Zakir Mammadov, who noted that they have started collecting funds for the Armed Forces Relief Fund and sending food and medicine for the army and that Azerbaijani students and youth in Minsk are willing to voluntarily enroll. They also put forward an initiative to start YouTube and Telegram channels to prevent false propaganda by Armenians. Other participants strongly disapproved of the biased coverage of the Nagorno-Karabakh battles in numerous media outlets. They suggested Azerbaijani experts and experienced political scientists speak up in Belarusian media.
Elshan Rahimov, military attaché at the embassy, delivered the frontline tides to the meeting participants.
Ambassador Gandilov proposed the volunteers for the front to apply to the military attaché and to put together groups of 4 or 5 IT experts to educate the Belarus public about battles in Nagorno-Karabakh. He recommended YouTube and Telegram as relevant channels for this. The diplomat also advised Belarus citizens to object to the media and relevant institutions on publishing biased information about the attack by the Armenian armed forces on Azerbaijan in Belarusian media. He said it was their right as citizens of Belarus. Gandilov thanked everyone for their proactive patriotism and added that transferring funds to the relevant accounts of the Armed Forces would be more appropriate than sending food and medicine.
The participants adjourned the meeting by expressing their gratitude to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for his determination and courage in liberating our occupied lands, wished him good health, and continuation of the military operations until the very end.
