Our Compatriots in Australia: ‘Our hearts beat along with our native Azerbaijan’
The Azerbaijani community in Sydney, Australia, has come together and strongly condemned the recent subversive acts of the Armenian army against Azerbaijan.
The participants at the event, organized by the Australian Azerbaijanian Association, expressed their concerns with the Armenian army attacking Azerbaijan with large-calibre weapons and heavy artillery and aiming at residential areas and the civilian population.
They started the meeting with a minute of silence to commemorate the victims of the military provocations by the enemy.
Michael Oyta, President of the Australian Azerbaijanian Association, members Sara Azersun, Shamsaddin Nejadi and Javad Davudi all said that our compatriots living in Australia were closely following the events back in their homeland, like Azerbaijanis living around the world. Their hearts were also beating along their dear Azerbaijan. The speakers harshly condemned the invading and aggressive policy pursued by Armenia and expressed how proud they were of the leadership and determination, worthy of a true commander, demonstrated by the President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev at such hard times. The Azerbaijani Armed Forces have launched a counterattack to liberate our lands which have been suffering under enemy occupation for almost 30 years. This exercise of our right to self-defence is bringing true happiness to the entire nation.
The participants of the event declared that they always stand by the state of Azerbaijan and wished our victorious army to completely recover Nagorno-Karabakh and other occupied lands from the invaders. They emphasized that their greatest wish was for our people to finally witness the joy of victory and for the flag of Azerbaijan to undulate proudly over all towns and villages in Karabakh.
