Conscripts Proud to Join the Army Ranks
State Service for Mobilization and Conscription Massali branch solemnly saw off the conscripts to the army on 2 October. The speakers at the event have expressed that they are joining the army ranks with boosted morale and great enthusiasm. The event was held in connection with the implementation of the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan ‘On summoning citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan to active military service from 1 to 30 October 2020 and releasing servicemen from active military service to reserve’.
The ceremony was attended by the Masalli district executive administration, heads of the district law enforcement agencies, and the local office of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, the elders, veterans of the Karabakh war, young conscripts, and the local community. The speakers at the event wished the young conscripts success in their honourable service. They all expressed their joy as our victorious army advanced on the enemy, liberating our lands from occupation.
Young conscript Mahabbat Bayramov: ‘I feel proud of joining the army ranks. Like every young man in the country, I, too, feel ready to gain knowledge as I serve and stand guard over my Motherland.’
Conscript Murad Naghiyev: ‘I, too, am leaving to serve along with my peers. I would like to assure my parents and friends that I will serve with honour and come back to them. Azerbaijan is now home to a powerful army, and I am honoured to become a part of it.’
The speakers at the event congratulated the young men sent off for military service, called them to be vigilant in the sacred duty of defending their Motherland, and bid them to follow the orders of their commanders, safeguard the territorial integrity of our country and master the intricate secrets of military affairs.
The parents of the young conscripts spoke next, saying how proud they were of their children starting military service.
Parent Shamsaddin Nasirov: ‘I am sending my son off for military service. As a parent, I am extremely proud. It is the duty of every son to protect the motherland. Our children are off to study in this honourable school. May we all see the day Karabakh is liberated.’
Parent Balakhanim Hasanova: ‘I am very excited. I have come here to see my son off to military service. May our sons return safe and sound. We stand by our Commander-in-Chief. May God bless our army.’
The ceremony ended with our young conscripts solemnly kissing our tricolour flag and leaving for their respective military units.
