‘Azerbaijan, We Stand with You’ – One More Support Campaign in Istanbul
Istanbul Turkey Azerbaijan Association (ISTAD) organized one more support campaign under the slogan of ‘Azerbaijan, we stand with you’ in Kadikoy, Istanbul, on 1 October.
ISTAD Chairman Safar Garagoyunlu spoke at the event: ‘The international community has been witnessing 20 percent of Azerbaijan’s territories occupied for 28 years. We fully support the decision by Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan, to finally end this occupation. Armenia is stuck in the region and is currently imploring the entire world for help. We are appealing to Armenia using this platform. You must immediately leave the Azerbaijani lands you have so unjustly occupied. The perpetrators of the Khojaly genocide must be punished before the entire international community. The people must return to their native lands. We demand this as the Turkish nation.’
The citizens of Turkey, who want to voluntarily join the ranks of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, turned in their applications to the head of the association to be delivered to relevant institutions.
Azerbaijani and Turkish flags undulated proudly at the event, which then concluded with the participants chanting slogans of support.
