Lerik youth enthused about the call for mobilization
The Supreme Commander-in-Chief has released an order, announcing the second day of partial mobilization in the country to prevent the provocations by the Armenian armed forces in the territories along the frontline and to liberate our lands from occupation. The recruits around the country, including our southern regions, are leaving to join the battles, determined to win. The volunteers also continue to come in to apply.
The Lerik office of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription receives countless applications from our citizens who want to voluntarily join the fights at the front and provide the assistance they can. The residents of remote mountainous villages say that they have been waiting for this day for long and are ready to fight for the freedom of our land.
A volunteer conscript Aftandil Gafarzadeh says: ‘I am a military serviceman in reserve. I want to join my brothers-in-arm at the frontline and be of service in the honourable mission of redeeming our occupied lands. I have applied voluntarily. I have been registered and am ready to take up arms to defend my Motherland, whenever the order comes in.’
Our compatriots, who came to the local Mobilization and Conscription office, are looking forward to the moment they are allowed to join the battlefront. There are many veterans among those who answered the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s mobilization summon.
Shaig Ibrahimzadeh shares: ‘I have participated in the April battles. Now our Commander-in-Chief has announced partial mobilization. We have come here to liberate our lands. I am ready to take up my combat duties as a soldier. We will avenge the blood our martyrs have shed. Insha’Allah, our tricolour flag will wave proudly in Kalbajar, Lachin, and Shusha.’
Veysel Malikov, Chairman of the Karabakh War Veterans and Martyrs’ Families Public Union, says: ‘It is a very happy day. People around the country are in a festive mood. We are proud of the achievements of our army. The Azerbaijani Army has been waiting for this day for years. I served back in 1993. But today’s army is not the one I served in. We now have a modern and powerful army, fully capable of defeating the enemy. I wish victory to the Azerbaijani soldier.’
All around the country, including Lerik, the youth condemned Armenian armed forces purposefully opening fire at civilians and using terrorist weapons against them since 27 September, which has motivated them to join the army.
Parent Shahla Musayeva: ‘It is the 6th young man from our family to fight the enemy face-to-face. We raise brave sons to protect the Motherland from the enemy. We stand by our Supreme Commander-in-Chief. We support him in this important call, as we always do. Our soldiers are taking up arms for their land, for Karabakh. May God protect them from enemy trickery!’
Parent Tofig Hajiyev: ‘My two sons are currently in the military. I wish strong will and strength to all the youth of Lerik, who is now at the battlefront. Karabakh is waiting for us. The day is approaching when it will finally be liberated. May God make our army victorious. We are sure that our tricolour flag will soon undulate in Shusha. May God bless and help our army on this path.’
The registered recruits chanted slogans such as ‘Karabakh is ours’, and ‘Karabakh is Azerbaijan, exclamation mark’, as they boarded the buses reserved for them and left for the front line.
Volunteers from Lerik, who keep on arriving at the recruitment centre, are honoured to re-join the army ranks. They wish to contribute to the achievements of our victorious army.
