Intelligentsia Abroad: ‘We wish victory to our army’

The hearts of 50 million Azerbaijanis scattered around the globe are now beating with their Motherland. The diaspora organizations operating in foreign countries and our prominent scientists have issued statements of support for Azerbaijan in these difficult days for us and called on the international community to uphold Azerbaijan’s fair position. Thousands of our young compatriots and doctors have appealed to the President of Azerbaijan, declaring their readiness to fight and serve for the integrity of their historic Motherland.

The State Committee for Work with the Diaspora reports that one of such compatriots, a Ph.D. in history in Ukraine, Professor Farhad Turanli has made an appeal, strongly condemning Armenia launching artillery fire on the civilian population and servicemen of Azerbaijan and calling the Azerbaijani Army to completely liberate our lands occupied by Armenia and continue their counterattacks until total victory:

‘Our army must continue the counter-offensive operations to restore the territorial integrity of our country and achieve complete victory, guided by international law and norms and the Constitution of Azerbaijan! I express my gratitude to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Azerbaijani Army Ilham Aliyev and wish success to our Army in launching swift counterattacks against yet another provocation of the Armenian armed forces, started on 27 September!’

‘The moment has arrived for complete victory and truth for the Azerbaijani army.’

The prominent Israeli political expert Arye Gut has also announced his stance on the Armenian provocations committed on the state border and occupied territories of Azerbaijan. He has stated that through constant provocations, Armenia has not left official Baku any other path but to restore the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and recover Nagorno-Karabakh and the adjacent seven regions, occupied by the Armenian Republic: ‘Considerable progress has been made at this crucial stage and the process continues. As per my observations, Azerbaijan has entered this stage to change the status quo and further cement its potential military superiority. The April victories, Nakchivan triumphs, and the Tovuz win have boosted the patriotic morale of both the Azerbaijani people and army and convinced the nation that they can rest assured: the Azerbaijani army is capable and prepared to perform all the tasks outlined. I think and am even confident that the moment of victory and truth has arrived for the Azerbaijani army.

This fair war will reflect Azerbaijan’s political and military prowess globally. The victory undoubtedly belongs to the people of Azerbaijan because the fascist and occupation regime in Armenia has no right to win.

I have visited those areas many times and seen the true strength and patriotism of Azerbaijani soldiers and officers. I sincerely wish a true and complete victory to the Azerbaijani armed forces on this special day.’

‘Azerbaijani youth in Egypt are ready to join battles for the Motherland’

Azerbaijanis in Egypt are ever ready to worthily represent and promote their country and voice the truths of Karabakh. Chairman of the Azerbaijani Diaspora Organizations Association in Egypt, researcher Seymour Nasirov stated that we have all been anxiously waiting for the freedom of our occupied Motherland for many long years: ‘The Azerbaijanis living in Egypt always stand by our state, motherland, and Supreme Commander-in-Chief. The recent events have illustrated that Azerbaijanis all over the world, our diaspora stand united by our state, support our Motherland with everything they have got, and has been and will continue doing everything they can to recover our Motherland from occupation. I am confident that the day will soon arrive when we will fully liberate our lands from enemy claws. The Azerbaijanis in Egypt have stood up to support our Homeland and our youth are employing all possible means to educate the local society. Rallies by foreigners are prohibited in Egypt, unlike European countries, thus we have mainly mobilized on social media. Meanwhile, our youth declare their readiness to fight for the freedom of our lands. Some of them have returned to Azerbaijan and I have no inkling of a doubt that they will do everything in their might to prevent the Armenian occupation and to liberate our lands, joining the frontline without any hesitation upon the call of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief! The world should be aware and accept this.’

‘The actions of Turkish and Azerbaijani diasporas abroad are of utmost importance’

‘I strongly condemn the new provocative attacks Armenia launched against Azerbaijan this morning. But this time around, Armenia failed to realize that they are playing with fire. That decision to open fire will burn Armenia. I congratulate the Azerbaijani army and people on liberating the villages and heights that have been occupied for far too long by launching counter-offensive operations against the Armenian armed forces.

Armenia has of lately been pursuing a policy of resettling Syrian and Lebanese Armenians in occupied Azerbaijani lands. Some of them are members of the PKK terror organization. It is obvious that Armenia is thus trying to employ the PKK against the Azerbaijani army, as it is clear as day that Armenia has no chance to win in a one-on-one war with Azerbaijan. I can say with absolute certainty that Azerbaijan will come out victorious in this war. The distinction between Armenia and Azerbaijan is too great both in terms of population and military prowess.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev delivered a speech a few days ago and stated that Azerbaijani intelligence agencies had warned about Armenia preparing for an attack and that corresponding measures were taken to prevent it. We currently see that the Azerbaijani army is fully prepared for battle. Unity is key and every Azerbaijani has risen to the occasion because a war is won not only in trenches but also through unity on the rear. The activities of the Turkish and Azerbaijani diasporas abroad play an exceptionally important role. The people and state of Türkiye stand with Azerbaijan. We, the Turkish politicians, always stand by Azerbaijan.’
