Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev meets with Chief Ombudsman of Türkiye
On October 21, Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev met with President of the Organization of Islamic Countries' Ombudsman Association (OICOA), Chief Ombudsman of Türkiye Şeref Malkoç, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan at the invitation of Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva.
The Prosecutor General informed about the criminal acts committed by the armed forces of Armenia against the peaceful population of Azerbaijan since September 27. He stressed that the leadership and people of the Republic of Türkiye demonstrated moral support to Azerbaijan from the first moment of the events and once again showed to the whole world that we are one nation and two states.
He mentioned that on October 4, 11 and 17, Armenian armed forces made missile attacks on the densely populated central part of the ancient and historical Ganja using internationally banned "Scud" missile systems, and killing 63, including 18 women, 8 children, injuring 292 civilians, including 69 women, 32 children. Moreover, the enemy inflicted serious damage on 1981 residential houses, 90 multi-storey buildings and 386 civil infrastructure facilities.
Aliyev emphasized that Armenians involved mercenaries from foreign countries in the military operations in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, as well as members of the "Asala" terrorist organization, which is always at the forefront in the history of world terrorism.
Expressing his gratitude for the sincere reception, Şeref Malkoç stressed that he will address the United Nations and international organizations for the protection of human rights with a statement informing the world community about the criminal and provocative acts committed by Armenia deliberately targeting the areas populated by civilians.
Şeref Malkoç said that as one nation, two states, Türkiye always stands with the brotherly people of Azerbaijan and supports their rightful cause as always.
At the meeting, the sides discussed and exchanged views on interesting topics in detail.
Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva also participated in the meeting.
