Armenian armed forces started a large-scale provocation
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, on September 27, at about 06:00 the Armenian armed forces started a large-scale provocation along the entire front line. Positions of the Azerbaijani army were intensively fired from large-calibre weapons, mortars and artillery of various calibres.
The military-political leadership of Armenia, pursuing a hypocritical and unconstructive policy, committed various crimes against the civilian population, deliberately and purposefully shelling densely populated areas of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and violating the fundamental norms and principles of international law.
As a result of the intensive shelling by the enemy, civilians were killed and wounded, and many houses and civilian objects were seriously damaged in Gapanly village of Terter District, Chiragli and Orta Garvand villages of Aghdam District, Alkhanli and Shukurbayli villages of Fuzuli District, and Jojug Marjanli village of Jabrail District.
Among the civilian population, Royal Hasanov, born in 1987, resident of Terter district, Jalal Zalov, born in 1982, resident of Dashkasan District, residents of the Fuzuli District - Fizuli Mammadov, born in 1960, and Vusal Guliyev, born in 1995, residents of Aghdam District -Beikishi Zeynalov, born in 1961, Eshgin Allakhyarov, born in 1997, were hospitalized with various injuries.
We express our deep regret over the death of civilians and servicemen as a result of enemy provocations.
At present, all possible investigative measures are being carried out by the prosecution authorities. Appropriate examinations to determine the severity of bodily injuries, as well as to estimate the amount of damage inflicted to civilian infrastructure is appointed.
This issue will be given a due legal assessment after all the details of the incidents are investigated by the local and military prosecution offices.
The Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan conducts the necessary documentation and collects evidence to ensure that servicemen of the Armenian Armed Forces who have committed various crimes are prosecuted and punished in accordance with international law.
The high determination and courage demonstrated by our servicemen who were killed in the battle to prevent the enemy's attack will always live in the memory of the Azerbaijani people.
