Writers Union of Eurasia strongly condemns provocative actions of Armenian leadership
On September 27, the aggressor Armenian army intensified its attacks against Azerbaijan and again targeted residential areas and civilians. Five people from one family, including two children, and many Azerbaijani civilians in different regions were martyred and injured because of these attacks. Armenia, which has been occupying twenty percent of Azerbaijan's lands for thirty years, causes the death of innocent people, expands its aggressor, criminal and deviant position.
The Writers Union of Eurasia said the above-mentioned in a statement with the demand to stop the military attacks of Armenia.
The statement signed by the chair of the Union, writer-publicist Yagub Omaroglu reads as follows:
"The decisions and resolutions repeatedly adopted by a number of international organizations, including the United Nations Organization have recognized Karabakh region as an integral part of Azerbaijan.
The Writers Union of Eurasia strongly condemns the provocative acts of the Armenian leadership, which has been keeping twenty percent of Azerbaijan's territories for nearly thirty years, killing many innocent people, obstructing the peace process. We call on Turkic-speaking states and communities, the world community, especially poets and writers who promote peace and justice, to stand in solidarity with Azerbaijan. Those who are silent where it is necessary to speak will not have the right to speak tomorrow.
We urge the international community to support the Azerbaijani state, which is protecting its homeland, in order to end the inhumane aggression that has been going on for many years.
Our pen will write this right struggle, and we will continue to explain the essence of this right struggle.
Today, the struggle of the Azerbaijani Army is the struggle of justice and peace.
We welcome the brotherly and friendly solidarity between President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and their countries in the face of injustice, and we invite the entire world community to support this solidarity.”
