The history of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and Armenia’s recent military provocations against Azerbaijan were highlighted on the Jordanian TV channel Al Haqiqa Al Duwaliya.
Khalid al-Juhani, one of the leaders of the Islamic Action Front party, and Omar al-Armuti, a famous Jordanian public activist, historian and author of “Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict and International Law (Republic of Azerbaijan)” book, were the guests of the “Friday meeting” program aired on the TV channel. The guests provided information about the history of Azerbaijan and its role in the region. They also pointed out the occupation by Armenia of 20 percent of Azerbaijani territories and its consequences.
Omar al-Armuti noted that in the 1990s, Armenia occupied the territories of Azerbaijan and that over the past 28 years, the OSCE Minsk Group failed to solve the conflict. The Jordanian public activist also hailed the great military potential and vast economic opportunities of Azerbaijan. He added that although Azerbaijan has always favored a peaceful and political solution to the Karabakh conflict, it was obliged to adequately respond to Armenia’s latest military provocations.
