Foreign media
Russia’s ‘Nezavisimaya Gazeta’ newspaper published material about the groundless claims of involvement of foreign mercenaries in the military operations in Nagorno Karabakh from Azerbaijan’s side.
The article states that the world media constantly spreads information about the participation of mercenaries in Nagorno Karabakh without any evidence.
It is noted that the American publication Wall Street Journal refers to an unnamed source in its report from Karabakh.
It is also mentioned that many Syrians who were said to have died in Azerbaijan and whose photos were spread, turned out to have died a long time ago and in completely different circumstances. For example, Sardar Temelli, the uncle of a Syrian named Abdurrahman Temelli, wrote on social networks that the Ministry of Defense of Armenia spread the picture of his nephew and claimed that he was killed in Karabakh. He was killed in Iraq. However, Western reporters ignored this claim.
The author of the material states that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev put an end to the issue of the participation of Syrian mercenaries in Nagorno Karabakh in his interview with the ‘Rossiya-1TV channel.
The newspaper reminds us that the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia have repeatedly warned about SOHR spreading false information with reference to anonymous witnesses and volunteers.
