Assistant to Azerbaijani President holds virtual briefing for foreign media representatives accredited in Turkey
Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev held a briefing in the video conference format for representatives of the world’s leading media outlets (Wall Street Journal, Reuters, Voice of America, New York Times, CNN International, Politico, Deutsche Well, El Pais, El Periodico, ORF, Bloomberg, and Journo) accredited in the Republic of Turkey.
Providing information about the recent provocations by Armenia’s armed forces, Hajiyev said the Azerbaijani Army’s positions and settlements along the frontline were intentionally subjected to intense fire.
He noted with regret that as many as 10 civilians, including two minors, have been killed and 30 others injured since the beginning of Armenian provocations.
Hajiyev said that the main goal of the Azerbaijani Army is to suppress another military aggression of Armenia, to ensure the safety of the civilian population and Azerbaijan’s internationally recognized territorial integrity.
The presidential aide then answered the media representatives’ questions and invited them to visit Azerbaijan.
