Azerbaijani, Turkish FMs meet
On November 1, 2020, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu within the framework of the working visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey to Baku.
During the meeting, the Ministers exchanged views on the latest situation in the region in connection with the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed his counterpart that Armenia fired on Azerbaijani civilians despite agreements on a humanitarian ceasefire, again targeted Azerbaijani settlements after the Geneva meeting, ignoring the call of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, and grossly violated international humanitarian law.
The ministers stressed the importance of ending the occupation of Azerbaijani territories in accordance with the requirements of the UN Security Council resolutions to ensure sustainable peace in the region.
